Front skid plate
From Schaffter
When
This was all in 1994.
History
So, I had raised the truck 4 inches with a kit from Trailmaster. One problem that immediately arised was that the front skidplate from Toyota became useless. In a way, it did not make very much sense from the beginning. A skid plate made in fiberglass? What good is that? Off-Road? Anyway, now it did not even fit any more. It lacked 4 inches of lift.
Finally, I found the piece I was looking for. In the parts catalogue from Downey Industries, they listed a skid plate for the 4Runner with a 4 inch lift. So I immediately ordered it.
When I received the plate, I was very happy. Perfect fit. High quality. And I found out that it was actually produced by:
Red Line Off-Road Accessories

I still miss the telephone and fax numbers to Red Line Off-Road Accessories. (Do they have a Web-page?)
